Welcome to Ashland High School’s Breaking the Barriers club website! Here you will find all the latest news about our club- meeting agendas, minutes, publicity, events, and more.
BTB is a community service and leadership club that hopes to inspire youth to make healthy choices and give them the qualities to become a leader of today.
BTB was founded in October of the 2016-2017 school year and has had tremendous success spearheading a leadership program for rising middle-schoolers, a shadowing program for high schoolers, and a regional MetroWest youth summit. This is in addition to participating in an Intergenerational Leadership team, volunteering at community events, attending the National Youth Leadership Institute training at the CADCA conference in Washington D.C, leading Hammer & Chisel’s Strike Action Network, and assisting our partner- the Decisions at Every Turn Coalition. We are a club interested in spreading our message to all aspects of the high school community, not just our club members, by actively working to make partnerships with other clubs and sports teams. We strive to be a blend of leaders from the Ashland High School community.
BTB is currently looking forward to their service trip to South Africa in April 2018 and annual CADCA conference trip in February!
BTB meets every other Thursday morning before school (7:30-8:10 am) and always welcomes new members to join!
